Paper Mache Vessel

This beautiful, yet simple vintage Indian vintage vessel looks like it is made of clay, but in fact it's made of paper maché. Paper maché is a very popular material used in the Nagaland region of India because of its strength, however it is very light weight. Discarded paper products are recycled and crafted into these unique vessels, then a whitewashed finish is applied. They present as a lovely decorative accent piece in any environment style.
